Thanks so much for this Lena. Yet another example of your excellent support. I have recommended your program to many people.
I work in the Education Department of a University, involved in Science Teacher Education and I have found Offline Explorer an invaluable tool.

I just wanna say that you guys in the Meta Products have done amazing great program. I have tried many complete website downloaders, but those have failed miserably. Then I tried Offline Explorer Pro and it was great, very pro looking, very easy & simple to use. I just cant express how pleased I am now... Thank you and keep it up!

Fantastic Stable Program!
Just like to say that I have been using your Offline Explorer Pro since the early part of this year. It is a wonderful product.
I have only once had problems with it – after a sudden power outage. Even then there was not really a problem at all. (I used one of the .dat backups to overwrite the .dat file and everything worked fine after. For some reason, although nothing had got lost in the download folder, Offline Explorer had not been able find all of my projects after the outage. Anyway this fixed it.)
It’s a great program, and I have recommended it to several people in my correspondence!

You and Oleg certainly demonstrate a great customer service attitude and I recommend your products to others. ... I still think your products are ahead of your competitors. Good job! Thanks for your support.

Just wanted to say what a great product this is , especially when I compare it to my previous and unlamented off-line browser, WebWhacker!

I must say I am impressed with the stability and speed of MD and OEPro. Down here in South Africa, we still rely on dial up links for Internet connections, so running at 56Kbps means a good download manager is an essential tool.
I have been using Getright for many years, but find it increasingly unreliable lately. Your products give the feeling of being very well engineered. I am currently downloading a 600Meg Linux Iso Image, Download Express has been running for four days without missing a beat (or a byte ;-) at a steady 4.8KB/s on my modem connected at 44000kb/s.

Hi, I recently upgraded to OP4 and it's my favourite spider along with MD. I never bother with anything else and recommend the combo to all my friends and customers. Thanks for making such great software!

I just want to comment on two product I`ve bought of you..
This was definately worth the money..
It seemed rather steep at first, when I was considering it, but I bought the OE, and then the MD (didn`t notice the offer you had), but either way it was worth it..
I have tried several offline tools before, but this did mostly what I wanted, without problems at all.. That`s a first.. Especially when you realize the power of the small macros when used on assorted websites, then you`re really getting somewhere..
And at last I must say, the support is quite fast when you need it..
I definitely would recommend this program to everyone that has a need to download something more than a single file/image/whatever from a site..
The same goes for Mass Downloader.. Very quick on sites which limits bandwith per connection and similar..
An example of the latter.. I wanted to download a BIG file from a site, and got just 1.2KB/s.. That would take hours.. But, MD fixed this.. 30 connections, total 600KB/s.. Much better.. :-)
Sadly the quick line is gone for a period now, but that did an impression.. :-)

Just about to register for Offline Explorer Pro.....one amazing program indeed......
I must of tried scores of off-line browsers etc over the past 5 years........but none of them come up to the standard of this program.......
Other programs do not incorporate true user features and can be complex to setup, resulting in frustration with incomplete site downloads with loads of rubbish and unwanted data.
You incorporate in a very useable and friendly environment, the very best of downloading web sites... Real joy to be able to suspend and resume......that`s a great feature.......and superb to be able to save/export data. Superb feature to be able to save old files too......
Excellent user forum with fast up-front feedback and support which makes this program truly professional as user ideas and concerns are taken up and where appropriate, incorporated into future updates...

This is a great prog to download whole web sites. I`ve used webzip for the past 2 years, but I got fed up of its cluttered workspace and to much crap I didnt need. Offline Explorer is very small, and it only took me 3 seconds to undtand it, great job! I did have one minor complaint, I dont see a option to auto zip sites downloaded? I think you should add the option to zip or ace files after the site is downloaded. Thank you!

I`ve been using Offline Explorer for a while now and find it a really excellent program. I had tried several other site savers, both open source and shareware. All had one or more deficiencies. One had difficulty with sites that are applet and java based. Another would do these sites but was hard to use and occasionally locked up or had GPF`s. Offline Explorer has a nice easy interface and I`ve had no lockups or GPF`s. Most importantly it has downloaded every site I`ve tried and I can`t tell the difference between the live site and the downloaded site.

Offline Explorer is a great product and is only getting better thanks to Oleg Chernavin who has provided some of the best tech support that I have ever seen. Because of the unique design of my website I was having some difficulty making a slide show on my website show correctly in my offline version using Offline Explorer. I had to do a Power Point presentation and needed to hyperlink one of the Power Point slides to a slide show hosted on my website in the offline version. Oleg coordinated with me through a series of emails and tailored the program to work perfectly with my website. Through his efforts I was able to make a great presentation and I am now a proud owner of the registered version of Offline Explorer. I am sure I will use the program many times in the future.

Wow. What great technical support! I could tell from reading the forum that response was great, but I wasn`t sure about response to private emails.
Doubt no more. I can`t believe that a full page email was answered point for point within hours. Not only that, but an upgrade was provided with an enhancement that I wanted to have implemented as well. Incredible.
I wanted to forward you a note commending you on the best offline browser currently available. My statement of opinion is based on use of the following "competing" products:
Teleport Pro - Used extensively;
Black Widow - Used moderately;
WebZip - Used long enough;
Zylox Internet Researcher - Used extensively;
HTTrack - Used minimally; has its place, but is very inconvenient;
Others not worthy of mention
All the above are fairly stable, but are really inconvenient to use, some more than others. It`s a shame that Zylox took its product as far as it did with what appears to be fairly good feature set; however, many of the features were illogically implemented.
Just a quick message to anyone who`s looking for a program like this. I had been struggling for over a week to download a web site. I tried blackwidow, leech, webcopier, webstripper, webExtractor, webwacker. None of them worked. They were either unintuitive or just could not do the job. Offline Explorer Pro was the only program that did the job EASILY, and without any problems. The reason I`m posting this is that I had to try them all until I found Offline Explorer Pro. Hopefully this will save somebody a lot of time and trouble

...your program is good enough to stand on its own feet..Excellent piece of software, backed up with Excellent polite and prompt service...
Thank you very much for an excellent product and a top notch support service that goes with it.

I`ve tried many offline downloaders, and Offline Explorer/OE Pro is the best I know.
Today, Offline Explorer Pro`s very customizable behaviour enabled me to get around a problem, that I think many other offline downloaders wouldn`t cope with. I was downloading from a site, and found afterwards that many pages on it, had only got "dummy" pages downloaded - error messages that said it couldn`t sustain the download rate. I was then using 10 threads for downloading. However, in this case, that was clearly too big load on the server (according to their settings). Therefore, I reduced the number of threads to just one, added one second delay between each, and restarted the download, and then it worked fine.

In answer to your requests for comments on your product:
Everybody has their own need and application. Mine is to capture a web page for later reading, and possible export to another location. I do this because:
# I travel frequently, and would use this product to capture a web page that interests me, so that I can read it during otherwise unproductive time while disconnected from the web.
# Some web pages are SLOW and I would rather schedule downloads of information in the background, and browse information without delays.
# Many pages are transient, and I`m often interested in the information published at a particular time, but am not in a position to browse the page immediately. Using your product I can capture the page and read it when I have time.
# Sometimes I wish to capture web pages for inclusion as references in other off line html documents, and use the export feature to do this.
# Very often I wish to simply "save" a web page for future reference.
On the positive side I find your product: (compared to your competition)
# Your product is good. It`s simple, and it works.
# Easy to use.
# Excellent filters.
# Bug free (as far as I found
# Cooperative with our corporate firewall.
Some issues I had/have were:
# If two projects are within the same download directory and share
common files I was a little unsure which project "owns" the file, and
hence how link translation and deletion are managed: This may simply be
a lack of my time to investigate how this works. (But I had some
strange issues that I eventually resolved by making sure every project
was in a different base directory, which unfortunately take more disk
space).
# I liked the wizard, and the templates. It would be nice to assign a
template to the wizard... (OK that may not be so easy!!)
# Since I often need to capture (and keep) a web page of a specific
date and time the scheduled download is useful: It would be more useful
in my application if I could arrange things so the new (scheduled)
download does not delete (overwrite) the old download!!!
Hope this helps...
Regards
DCH

OE is, by far, the most powerful retrieval engine I`ve used. Your response time to look at challenging sites and add to the engine is far better than anybody else`s.
